Briggs Review Absolute worst service in the history of leasing. I can't post a 0 star review although I wish I could. My fiance and I lived in a Henry Briggs and Associates property for a little over two years. The first year wasn't terrible, but after renewing our lease for the second term we ended up having a roof leak in the back room of the home which led to mold and an entire renovation of that room which took over six months to be handled and they didn't even have a great contractor do the work. The roof kept leaking after MULTIPLE attempts to fix it. Thank fully it was fixed after relentless effort on our part and multiple visits by a few contractors and the landlord. We renewed our lease due to the fact we didn't anticipate any further issues. After this we had a sewage line back into the back room that was just renovated which caused the toilet in the bathroom to overflow and the tub to overflow as well leaking all over the back room, bathroom, and into the hallway. The landlord and Henry Briggs IGNORED our request for over a week before sending someone out leading to MORE MOLD and more disgust. We served Henry Briggs and his team a tenants assertion after this requesting that they have the home rid of the mold, cleaned, the pipe fixed, and to let us out of our lease effective immediately. Henry and the Landlord said that we could get out of the lease which we were happy about. He also agreed to either have the home professionally cleaned prior to our move or have it cleaned once we left and that we would get our deposit back and not see ANY charges for cleaning. See attached photo. They also had the pipe fixed, thank you I guess, the new tenants thank you too. After we moved out I scheduled a walk through with the property manager to make sure they approve of the cleanliness of the home in which we left it. After waiting for over an hour at our scheduled time I called the office to see why the property manager was not there, no answer so I called their emergency number. The gentleman there wasn't able to help and directed me to call back the next day. I called back and sent an email only to receive a nasty email that they left after waiting for me. I sent back an email correcting them and giving them a GPS screenshot from my phone which tracks all of my movements. They did not respond. I took that as a guilty response and left it at that. After almost 50 days we received our deposit with a charge for both general cleaning and carpet cleaning even though my fiance and I cleaned the home thoroughly. After speaking to the accounting person, she said Henry and the property manager had to 'discuss' the situation and get back to me the next day. The next day I called and ALL THREE of the people involved in my case were off and would be off the remainder of the year. If you are looking for a home and Henry Briggs and Associates is the leaser, please take not and read the reviews. They are terrible inside and out and are not very willing to help with anything even if the lease states that they should. Renter beware.

List of offenses: 1) First day moving in: apartment is already dirty AND they sent us a bill in the mail for $257 for lock changing, and an eviction notice. I called them and told them the lock changing was from before we lived there, they apologized. 2) 2 months in, our washing machine set on fire. Took them 3 weeks to come look at it, and they left a note saying that they were "ordering a part" and never came back, despite me calling them once a week for a month. 3) 6 months in. Got another eviction notice after they misplaced my rent check. 4) 8 month in, got another eviction notice when they misplaced my check again. 5) 12 months. Lease expires, I set a meeting with Henry Briggs to inspect the apartment. The lady says "apartment looks clean, if you scrub the oven and the bathtub, I guarantee you won't get charged a cleaning fee". I spend 1 hour scrubbing the tub and oven. 6) A month after moving out. I get a my deposit refund in the mail with a $75 cleaning fee. I call them and they say "your apartment was dirty". I tell them who I talked to and they say "oh yeah she remembers that. sorry"
